Volunteer Opportunities

There are numerous volunteer opportunities available in the Research Center. Volunteers may work with the public or work behind the scenes caring for collections. If you are interested in volunteering, complete our volunteer profile.

Manuscript Collections

This often includes the handling of old and rare papers. Volunteers may learn about American Indian Records, personal letters of scholars, and much more.

Oral History Program

Help preserve old recordings and index and catalog Oklahoma's colorful past.

Photographic Archives

Volunteers will scan, sort and index images, and assist with database development.

Research Center Volunteers

Assist patrons with historical and genealogical research in the Research Center.

Correspondence

Assist with processing research requests and orders for genealogical research or general questions about Oklahoma History.
