“Civil War Weapons and Artillery” Second Saturday Demo at Fort Towson
FORT TOWSON, Okla. — Fort Towson Historic Site will host its monthly Second Saturday Demo on August 10 at 1 p.m. This month’s topic will be “Civil War Weapons and Artillery.” Visitors will learn about the types of arms used by the Union and Confederate armies during the Civil War.

Fort Towson Historic Site is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
