Barn Quilt Workshop Scheduled for Chisholm Trail Museum
KINGFISHER, Okla. — On Saturday, June 11, the Chisholm Trail Museum will hold a Barn Quilt workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Barn quilts, which are square-shaped boards painted to resemble a quilt block and are placed on any structure, have evolved into a rural development initiative to boost tourism in communities. OSU Extension Educator Lindy Hoel will lead the workshop, during which each participant will complete their very own barn quilt to proudly display at home.
The cost for this workshop is $40, and includes all needed materials and lunch. Payment must be received to secure registration, and the workshop is limited to 24 participants. Please contact the museum at 405-375-5176 to reserve your spot. The Chisholm Trail Museum is located at 605 Zellers Ave. in Kingfisher.
