Sewing Circle Coming to Overholser Mansion in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY — Sewers of all ages are invited to join the Carriage House Sit and Sew at the Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion in Oklahoma City.
It is a free monthly event for makers and crafters of all ages and skill levels. The first meeting will take place on Saturday, February 11, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. inside the mansion’s Carriage House. Registration is limited to 20 people.
Participants should bring their supplies and projects to sew and create in a different setting. Guests can bring their food and drink. Coffee and water will be provided.
The Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion is located at 405 NW 15th St. in the historic Heritage Hills neighborhood of Oklahoma City.
The event is presented by Preservation Oklahoma, Inc. It is the state’s only private, nonprofit membership organization that is dedicated to promoting, supporting and coordinating historic preservation activities throughout the state. The Henry and Anna Overholser Mansion is an affiliate of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
