Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center to Host Family Farm Day

ENID, Okla. — The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will host Family Farm Day on Saturday, October 7, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Family Farm Day allows families to experience hands-on activities like shelling and grinding corn, churning butter, planting seeds and milling wheat. In addition, guests can visit a farm animal petting zoo, participate in pumpkin decorating, watch a blacksmith at his trade and more.

The museum will also be open to guests, with docents available to tour the galleries and teach about the area’s rich agricultural traditions. Family Farm Day and guided tours are free with paid admission.

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
