Experience Fall on the Farm at Hunter’s Home
PARK HILL, Okla. — Learn about 19th-century living patterns at Hunter’s Home on Saturday, October 5, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. as staff prepare the site for fall. There will be demonstrations as staff complete chores like planting and harvesting. Other activities include story time, making corn husk dolls, demonstrations of how food was preserved and making apple butter. The full schedule will be posted on the Hunter’s Home Facebook page.
This is a family-friendly event. Admission is free. For more information, call 918-456-2751. Hunter’s Home is located at 19479 E. Murrell Home Rd. in Park Hill. It is Oklahoma’s only remaining pre-Civil War plantation home.
Hunter’s Home is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
