Public Invited to Christmas Open House at Historic Drummond Home in Hominy

HOMINY, Okla. — Celebrate Christmas with an open house at the historic Fred and Addie Drummond Home in Hominy on Saturday, December 14, from 1-4 p.m. Every room will be decorated for the Christmas season.

Musicians Jim Garling, Susanne Woolley and others will perform live music in the parlor. Author Roseanne McKee and Osage storyteller Dianne Fallis will also be in attendance. McKee, a former writer for the Pawhuska Journal-Capital and the Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise, will read passages from her novels. Santa Claus will make an appearance to take photos with guests. Visitors will receive a Christmas treat at the end of the open house.

The open house event is included with paid admission. The Fred and Addie Drummond Home is located at 305 N. Price Ave. in Hominy. It is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Call 918-352-5583 for more information.

The Fred and Addie Drummond Home is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
