Murrell Home to Host Mother-Daughter Hat Workshop

PARK HILL, Okla. — The Murrell Home is holding a mother-daughter hat decorating workshop in honor of Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 13, from 9–11 a.m. Participants will learn a bit about hats from the 19th century while decorating their own. The workshop is $45 per person and includes a woven palm hat, the materials to decorate it such as flowers and ribbons, sewing notions and decorating tips. It will be a wonderful morning activity but space is limited, so call 918-456-2751 to reserve your spot soon.

The Murrell Home, a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society, is located at 19479 E. Murrell Home Road in Park Hill, Okla. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
