Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center to Host Family Farm Day

ENID, Okla. — The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will host Family Farm Day on October 21, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. These festivities to celebrate farming in Oklahoma are free with museum admission.

Family Farm Day is a hands-on experience for the whole family that celebrates the heritage of farming in the Cherokee Outlet. Visitors will see farm animals, a horseshoeing demonstration, pie making, quilts and textiles, leather crafting, trucks and tractors, canning and other “on the farm” skills. A pie auction will be held at 1 p.m. to benefit the Turkey Creek School, and a beans and cornbread dinner will be available with a donation.

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society.
