Treasure Your Roots Genealogy Conference Scheduled for February 10 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church
OKLAHOMA CITY — On Saturday, February 10, St. John Missionary Baptist Church will be the venue for the Treasure Your Roots genealogy conference from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The conference will feature keynote speaker Thom Reed, global outreach manager for Family Search International. Programming includes 20 sessions on topics including DNA, oral history, newspapers, passenger lists, African American genealogy, American Indian genealogy and more.
The conference is open to attendees of all experience levels and backgrounds. Registration is $10 per person and lunch is included. A complete schedule and registration information are available on the Oklahoma Genealogical Society’s website, https://okgensoc.org/.
Treasure Your Roots is presented by the Oklahoma Family History Centers in cooperation with the Oklahoma Area LDS Family Search, OKC LDS Public Affairs, Oklahoma Genealogical Society, Oklahoma Historical Society, Black Genealogy Research Group and the Association of Professional Genealogists.
St. John Missionary Baptist Church is located at 5700 N. Kelley Ave. in Oklahoma City.
