“Lone Star School” Author at Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus
ALTUS, Okla. — Richard Simunek, author of “Lone Star School: Now We Are Going to Be Americans,” will review his book on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. at the Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus, Okla.
“Lone Star School” is a work that began out of memorabilia from the author’s father’s one-room schoolhouse in Hennessey, Okla., and became a story about the building of America as a great nation. Simunek will discuss his book and the school that inspired it.
