Oklahoma Historical Society and Rose State College to Offer “Tracing Your Roots” Genealogy Class
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) and Rose State College are partnering to offer “Tracing Your Roots,” a seven-week class on the basics of genealogy. This class meets on Tuesdays from September 25 to November 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees will learn how to search for their heritage online, how to obtain free resources for research and how to access materials at the OHS. The class will conclude with a behind-the-scenes tour of the OHS Research Center. Instructors will take the mystery out of history and help participants preserve the past for their future.
This class will be held at the Rose State College Community Learning Center, and registration is through Rose State College. The class fee is $79 for the general public and $69 for seniors. Find a link to register online at www.okhistory.org/calendar/event/tracing-roots/2018-09-25.
