Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher to Host Chuck Wagon Gathering and Fundraiser Dinner
KINGFISHER, Okla. — The Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher, Okla., will host its first Chuck Wagon Gathering and Fundraiser Dinner on October 20, 2018. From 10 a.m.–3 p.m. visitors can check out a variety of working chuck wagons from across the region and watch cast iron cooking at its best. The fundraiser dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and include chicken fried steak, potatoes, beans, biscuits and cobbler prepared by the chuck wagons, as well as live musical entertainment featuring Cowboy Jim Garling. Daytime activities are free with museum admission. Evening meal tickets are $20 for adults and children ages 12 and older and $12 for children ages 5–11. Meal tickets must be purchased in advance. The Chisholm Trail Museum is located at 605 Zellers Avenue in Kingfisher, Okla. The museum’s regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors ages 60 and older, $3 for children ages 6 to 18, and free for children 5 and under, and includes admission to the A. The Chisholm Trail Museum is an affiliate of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
