On Saturday, November 14, from 1 to 3 p.m., Fort Towson Historic Site will host Chad Williams, the director of the Research Division for the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS), who will present a program entitled “The Gateway to Oklahoma History” for the November installment of the Second Saturday Demo series.
The Gateway to Oklahoma History is a free, online repository of Oklahoma history that is continually being updated. Using The Gateway, patrons can search and view over three million historic Oklahoma newspapers, photographs, maps, books, and documents. Williams will discuss various featured collections and how you can use them for research.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you practice social distancing by staying six feet away from staff and visitors who are not in your party. All visitors, staff, and volunteers are required to wear face masks in public areas of all OHS facilities.
For more information about this program, please call John Davis at 580-873-2634 or email jdavis@okhistory.org. Fort Towson Historic Site is located north of US 70 near Fort Towson.
