The Oklahoma History Center (OHC) announces the 2022 Farm-to-Table Festival to be held on March 19, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This free, community-wide festival highlights historic and modern farm life, with the purpose of demonstrating how food and household items travel from their sources to our homes. Families will experience perspectives from 17th-century America to the modern day, with hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. Admission is free to the public, and the event will be held predominately outdoors on the OHC grounds.
The festival will offer a multitude of educational opportunities and experiences among which will be cooking and nutrition demonstrations, livestock, construction methods, various crafts, and reading. In addition, there will be several made-in-Oklahoma organizations represented that will illustrate how their products are created and distributed. A number of these contributors will offer their products for individual or group sales. Food trucks will be onsite to offer a wide variety of items for lunch at the festival.
There will be entertainment offered on the main stage for the majority of the day. Mallory Eagle, a well-known Oklahoman native performer, will be performing traditional and original music from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Bottom of the Barrel Band will close out the day performing their high-energy folk music from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The OHC is located at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive in Oklahoma City. For more information, please call 405-522-0765 or go to https://www.okhistory.org/historycenter.
