On Saturday, August 13, the Fort Towson Historic Site will host a free mushroom-growing workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will be learning how the safely grow, harvest, and enjoy mushrooms at home.
The class will be led by Midnight Mushroom Company owner Michael Schatte of Burleson, Texas. He will be teaching methods for safely growing, storing, and enjoying Oyster and Lion’s Mane variety mushrooms at home with basic tools. Mushroom growing kits will be available for purchase or order at the workshop.
