Civil War Research Lunch & Learn program, Oklahoma History Center

On June 21, 2017, the OHS Research Center will offer a Lunch & Learn program featuring Nancy Calhoun, Genealogy Librarian for the Muskogee Public Library. Civil War research falls into a class of its own. This session will help researchers identify available resources including books, free websites, and subscription websites. The program will cover both Union and Confederate materials, where the records are located and how they can be accessed, and how to put “meat on the bones” and walk in the footprints of your ancestors. Nancy will also share some Civil War-era recipes with the class.

Lunch & Learns are held from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the classrooms at the Oklahoma History Center. Registration is $15 per person and lunch is included. Preregistration is required.
