On Saturday, June 7, Hunter’s Home will hold a workshop that will teach guests how to care for heritage-breed turkeys and sheep. The workshop will also discuss the importance of heritage-breed animals to the continuation and health of their respective species. We will also discuss the history of bronze turkeys and Saxon Merino sheep. The guest will get to try a recipe from the nineteenth century using turkey meat from our turkeys! This will allow the guest to see the difference between heritage and standard breed meat.
