Summer Sizzler: Finding Your Ancestors Through Land Records genealogy workshop, Oklahoma History Center

The Oklahoma Genealogical Society and the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center will present the annual Summer Sizzler genealogy workshop on Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21, at the Oklahoma History Center. Doors open at 9:30 am each day, and workshop activities are from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
The theme for this year’s workshop is “Finding Your Ancestors Through Land Records.” Visitors will learn about the many facets of land ownership in Oklahoma and how to research land records. Workshop presenters include Billie Fogarty, Patricia Jones, Debra Spindle, Katie Bush, Mike Sheriff, and Nathan Turner. Early bird registration is $50 for both days or $40 for one day and ends at midnight on Friday, July 6. Regular registration is $60 for both days or $50 for one day. Lunch is included in the conference price. Doors will open at 9:30 am both days, and attendees will have the chance to win door prizes and visit the book sale during breaks.
