“Tracing Your Roots” Advanced Genealogy class

The Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher continues its series of “Tracing Your Roots” classes designed to teach genealogy skills and resources, from the basics through advanced research. An Advanced Genealogy class is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Topics will include genealogical research, record keeping, census records, accessing newspapers, American Indian genealogical research, accessing Oklahoma Historical Society archival information, identifying tools for success, and more. The class will be led by Laura Martin, deputy director of the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Division. Registration for this class is $25 per person or $40 per pair.
