Kent Frates, author of two volumes of Oklahoma’s Most Notorious Cases, will give a presentation at the Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus on Tuesday, March 31, at 7 p.m.

From bloody murders to political scandal to an act of domestic terrorism, Oklahoma’s Most Notorious Cases captures the stories, the times and the import of landmark trials. Oklahoma attorney and historian Kent Frates will reveal the facts behind several high-profile cases that helped shape the history of the state. He will tell stories of crimes solved and unsolved, of defendants convicted by public opinion who went free, and of defendants found guilty who continued to plead their innocence.

Frates’s presentation is a companion to the traveling exhibit Wanted: Dead or Alive, on display at the Museum of the Western Prairie from March 24 to May 29. This photography exhibit is comprised of images of some of Oklahoma’s most infamous criminals. Visitors can see the exhibit Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
