Created Equal Panel Discussion: Slavery and Jim Crow in Oklahoma

In honor of the 150th anniversary of the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment, the OHS will host a Juneteenth panel discussion on the topics of Slavery in the Indian Territory and Jim Crow in Oklahoma. The discussion will feature clips from two documentaries, The Abolitionists, and Slavery by Another Name. These films are a part of an initiative from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History titled: “Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle.” There is no age requirement but parental guidance is suggested.
