October 19, 11 a.m.
Event Navigation
On Saturday, October 19, the Pioneer Woman Museum and Statue will offer two make-and-take sessions to make a “glass-tastic” night light! Join instructor Audrey Schmitz as she conducts a “de-LIGHT-ful” interactive glass fusion class at 11 a.m. and another session at 1 p.m.
Glass-Tastic participants will create an original fused glass night light and enjoy light refreshments for a $35 registration fee. Along with learning about the art and technique of glass fusion, a wide array of colorful art glass and design components such as frit, dots, and stringer will be on hand. No prior experience with glass is required to create original art, have fun and get your sparkle on!
Additional night lights may be made and paid for during the event. Pioneer Woman Museum will take all “Glass-Tastic” reservations and collect the $35 fee. Call 580-765-6108 or drop by 701 Monument Road to reserve a seat as space is limited.
Audrey Schmitz is Instructor of Ceramics, Sculpture and Art History at Northern Oklahoma College where she also directs the Eleanor Hays Art Gallery.
