Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon as you learn about draft horses! On Saturday, September 10, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Fort Towson Historic Site will host an Introduction to Draft Horses program. There will be a discussion about the differences between oxen and horse power, including what each has contributed to Oklahoma’s history. Learn different uses of the horse, from the farm to other industries, and even war. There will be a team of Belgian horses on site to show the power of harnessed energy. Don’t miss this exciting and educational experience!
