Event Navigation
The OHS Research Center and Rose State College are offering a new two-part class about DNA tests and genealogical research. Enrollment is $80 and includes lunch for both sessions and an autosomal DNA kit.
Session 1, March 21
Begin the process to discover more about your ancestry with a DNA test. This class will present introductory materials about the autosomal test, Y-test, and mitochondrial tests. Learn about what you will receive from the results of your DNA kit and start making your plan for piecing together your family tree.
Session 2, May 16
Now that you have the results, how do you move forward? DNA results can be overwhelming. We will discuss the basics of interpreting and organizing the results of your DNA test. Additional resources for working with your results will be presented as well.
Each session is from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Community Learning Center at Rose State College. Register online through Rose State College.
