Event Navigation
On Wednesday, August 16, 2017, the OHS Research Center will present a Lunch & Learn program featuring Deputy Bradley Wynn, curator of a new and previously unknown collection of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Since 2013, Bradley’s efforts have amassed thousands of artifacts and historical documents that are seeing the light for the first time in more than 125 years. He will share details about how his agency is preserving and curating this unique collection, from original sheriff’s journals and jail ledgers to historic firearms and uniforms. Through this collection we are rediscovering the agency’s past (and in many cases rewriting it) while revealing some pretty exciting surprises.
Bradley Wynn is an author, writer, and urban archaeologist who focuses his efforts on the unique history of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Law Enforcement. Most recently, he has made great strides in finally establishing the first Oklahoma Criminal Justice Museum.
Lunch & Learns are held from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the classrooms at the Oklahoma History Center. Registration is $15 per person and lunch is included. Preregistration is required. Please call 405-522-5225 to register and have your credit or debit card ready. You may also use our mail-in registration form.
