Museum After Dark: “Vintage Kids”

March 21, 6 p.m.8 p.m.

Event Navigation

“Vintage Kids” is a new Museum After Dark program/series developed by the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center for families with children 12 and under. Children have found ways to play and have fun since the beginning of time. The concept of playtime has been around for ages, although it has looked different in different time periods.  “Vintage Kids” is all about exploring playtime from the past!

Our first “Vintage Kids” night on Friday, March 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will focus on what playtime was like in the 1930s! Bring your youngsters to the Heritage Center, and accompany them for an evening of Depression-Era fun. There will be various hands-on activities that will make your family feel like you’ve stepped back in time! Dressing up in your best 1930s-period attire is certainly encouraged but not required. Children will get to experience popular games and activities of the time, such as making play dough and rag dolls, decorating their own set of wooden blocks, and MORE! In true 1930s style, we’ll gather around for an interactive live radio show that will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to finish out the night!

Be on the lookout for ticket information soon!
