July 14, 2018
Event Navigation
On Saturday, July 14, Hunter’s Home staff will host a Twining workshop at Fort Gibson Historic Site. The workshop will begin at 9 am in the adjutant’s office at Fort Gibson. Twining is a form of loom weaving using fibers such as jute or hemp, and is a great way to make bags, rugs, shoes, and much more. For this workshop, attendees will be instructed by a Cherokee artist in making a bag using this traditional craft. The cost for the class is $56 per person and includes the loom, materials, and instruction. For questions or reservations please call 918-456-2751, message Hunter’s Home on Facebook, or email huntershome@okhistory.org.
