On Saturday, June 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., photographer and artist Jim Meeks will provide an introduction and historical overview of pinhole cameras. In the class, students will have the opportunity to make their own pinhole cameras. A workshop on Saturday, September 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hunter’s Home will teach visitors how someone would begin as a carpenter in the 1850s. Skilled carpenters, both free and enslaved individuals, originally built Hunter’s Home. They constructed the house entirely by hand, and their work remains 175 years later.
