Oklahoma National History Day contest, Oklahoma History Center

Okietales, Oklahoma History Center
Each Wednesday in June and July the Oklahoma History Center will host Okietales from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Okietales is a one-of-a-kind reading and storytelling time where kids see and hear history! Dutch Oven Cooking class, Oklahoma History Center
On Saturday, July 14, from 9 am to 1 pm the Oklahoma History Center Education Department will host a Dutch Oven Cooking class. Registration is required and space is limited, so participants are encouraged to sign up early. The cost is $20 and will include all materials. The Oklahoma History Center's History Pioneers Junior Curator Camp is back this summer for students ages eight to twelve. Participants in this weeklong camp will learn about Oklahoma's early explorers and the role of a museum curator. Attendees will also visit behind-the-scenes areas at the Oklahoma History Center and create their own exhibit. Ever wondered how living history or reenactor characters are created?
