The Art of Speed: Oklahomans and Fast Cars exhibit opens, Oklahoma History Center
The Oklahoma History Center will open its newest exhibit, The Art of Speed: Oklahomans and Fast Cars, on Saturday, July 1. This six-week exhibit will feature eighteen unique and, in some cases, one-of-a-kind automobiles from the private collections of several Oklahomans. The exhibit will be organized by eras and will include cars dating from 1900 to modern day. Among the cars on display will be a Mercer, Franklin, Cord, Pontiac, Corvette, and Jaguar. Annual Quilt Show exhibit opens, Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum
Visit the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum during the month of October to see the annual Quilt Show. The quilt show is open during normal hours of operation and there is no charge to see the special exhibit. Visitors can view a variety of modern and heirloom quilts. October of operation for the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday–Saturday and 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday.

Christmas Past exhibit opens, Museum of the Western Prairie
On November 1, 2017, the Museum of the Western Prairie will open a new exhibit entitled Christmas Past. This exhibit features a collection of linocut prints by Derald Swineford, who was the head of the art department at Oklahoma College for Women, Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma from 1946 through 1977.
