CSRHC Trappings of the Cherokee Strip
During the month of March, the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center will host its second annual "Trappings of the Cherokee Strip" Show of Fine Western Art and Custom Cowboy Gear. The show features the works of 13 of Oklahoma's best Western artists and craftsmen expertly exhibited to showcase the beauty of each item. Carl Mays: From Kingfisher to the Big Leagues exhibit opening, Chisholm Trail Museum
On Saturday, June 6, at 1 p.m. the Chisholm Trail Museum in Kingfisher will open a new exhibit about former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Carl Mays. The exhibit is entitled Carl Mays: From Kingfisher to the Big Leagues. Mays started playing baseball in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, in the early 1900s and went on to play in the major leagues for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Giants. Oklahoma and the Great Depression: Photographs from the Farm Security Administration Exhibit Opening
A new photography exhibit will open on Wednesday, July 15, in the Chesapeake Events Center at the Oklahoma History Center. The exhibit will feature photographs from the Farm Security Administration. The Pioneer Woman Museum will open a new exhibit on Saturday, July 25, entitled Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America. This traveling exhibit is from the Smithsonian's "Museums on Main Street" program and was made possible through a partnership with the Oklahoma Humanities Council. Visitors will enjoy the exhibit and are sure to experience a connection, as our love of sports begins in our hometowns. Exhibit opening festivities on July 25 also include a city-wide pep rally at the museum.

Antique Doll Exhibit Opens at Drummond Home
The Fred Drummond Home in Hominy will host an Antique Doll exhibit throughout the entire month of February. This exhibit will feature a wide array of German-made dolls, including dolls by Armand Marseille, Kestner, and Koppelsdorf. There also will be a large group of china and porcelain dolls.
