Who doesn’t like a good sale and holiday music? Come to the Oklahoma History Center for our annual Museum Store sale, holiday music played on the Kilgen Organ, and free crafts for kids. Deck the Halls! is a family-friendly event and is free with paid admission to the museum.

The Cherokee Strip Museum in Perry will host an Old-Fashioned Tree Trimming on Saturday, December 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. We will be stringing cranberries and popcorn, making peanut butter and birdseed pine cones, hanging dried apples, and making construction paper garlands. Attendees can then decorate the Christmas trees located in front of the Blacksmith Shop and inside Rose Hill School. Bring the entire family for some old-fashioned fun! Will Rogers and Wiley Post Fly-In
On Saturday, August 15, starting at 7:30 a.m., aviation enthusiasts will mark 85 years to the day since Will Rogers and Wiley Post died in an Alaska plane crash. To honor their memory, pilots of over 125 small planes will land on a 2,000-foot grass strip at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch, adjacent to the house where Rogers was born in 1879. Family Day at the Birthplace Ranch
Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch will host Family Day at the Ranch on Saturday, September 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, visitors will get a glimpse of what life was like in the early days of the ranch during Will Rogers’s childhood! Demonstrations and activities include butter churning, using a washboard, and rope making. Family Day at the Ranch is free and open to the public, and donations are appreciated.

On Saturday, April 3, the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt is cosponsored by the local Pawnee Lions Club and the Pawnee Chamber of Commerce. On Sunday, April 4, the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum will host its annual nondenominational Sunrise Service. The service will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on Blue Hawk Peak, the highest point on the ranch grounds. The service is led by the Pawnee Ministerial Alliance and is a community-wide tradition.
