Cartoonist, Tulsa
Dayne Dudley was a cartoonist and illustrator for the Tulsa Tribune with an emphasis on sports cartoons for 13 years. He left that position to begin a freelance career that has extended over 30 years. Dudley has drawn portraits, caricatures, mascot designs, and program cartoons for the Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves, USA Wrestling, Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, National Softball Hall of Fame, Jim Thorpe Association, National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, TNN, NASCAR, World Football League, NCAA, and many college sports programs across the nation. Other clients include the Oak Ridge Boys, Bill Cosby, ABC Radio/Television and Universal Studios.
Dudley has been honored with twelve “Best in the Nation” awards from COSIDA, the College Sports Information Directors of America.
He is a graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He was a varsity baseball player there as well.
In addition to his art production, he frequently teaches college-level courses in the use of Prismacolor pencils, his favorite art medium, and other phases of commercial art. Dayne lives in Tulsa.
