Jones has written and edited comic books for over twenty years. His credits include the long-running sci-fi adventure series Scimidar, Dark Wolf, Merlin, Ferret, The Protectors, and “StarTrek: DS9” for Malibu Comics. For several years he wrote a newspaper column of entertainment reviews and social commentary.
Other credits include a Green Lantern story for DC Comics’ Showcase ‘95 and for Dark Horse Comics Harlan Ellison’s Dream Corridor.
His recent credits include writing the comics series Automaton and Bulletproof Monk and serving as story editor of The Deception, all for Image Comics. Bulletproof Monk was made into a motion picture, produced by John Woo and starring Chow Yun Fat.
Jones also edited and assisted with the writing of 2001 Memories, an autobiographical memoir of 2001: A Space Odyssey star Gary Lockwood. Others are Guardians of Tomorrow, a comic book series and a novel, and a new comic book mini-series to be published by Marvel Comics, for whom he wrote one issue of the mini-series Weapon X.
He also wrote the story “3 On A Match,” which appeared in the 6th issue of Metal Hurlant magazine, and the English adaptation of the Korean comic book series King Of Hell for Tokyopop.
