Jet Industrious OHCE (Oklahoma Home and Community Education) was organized September 15, 1948, known then as the Home Demonstration Club with eight charter members. They were Thelda Delamarter, Frances Metcalf, Mabel Metcalf, Jessie Mary Reinhart, Evelyn Hartman, Virginia Manning, Jenny Fischer, and Betty Metcalf. The Saline Lakeside Extension organized in 1932 and later consolidated with Jet Industrious. In 2012 our membership is 19 including Pauline Hopkins, Doris Jenlink, and Virginia Manning who are 60+ year members of extension. The proceeds from our seven cookbooks we have published has been our most popular fundraiser Our purpose is to educate, help our schools, and improve home and community life.
