I was born in Seminole, Oklahoma. My father was Dickey Lawrence Hale (1929-2005). My mother is Joan Mildred (McInturff) Hale (1932–). I grew up in Covington, OK. I worked for OKDHS for 33 yrs as a R.N., retiring in 2011. I attended NWOSU and graduated with my BSN in 1996. I have one wonderful son, John Ray Hastings. I have been working on my family genealogy since childhood when I began helping my grandmothers, Edna Lee (DeBell) Hale and Myrtle Alice (Vinyard) McInturff. I belong to the First Families of the Twin Territories of Oklahoma., Oklahoma Historical Society, and the Garfield County, Oklahoma Genealogists. I purchased my brick to show my pride for my lineage of ancestors on both sides of my family who came to Oklahoma before statehood.
