Carl W. White
Submitted by Carla D. White Pratt
Carl W. White was married to my mother Johnnie M. White. Together they adopted my brother Randy J. White and myself Carla D. White. We lived in Platter, Oklahoma, just a few miles from the homestead that my paternal grandfather Napoleon White purchased in Calera, Oklahoma. Napoleon White was married to Albertine White, and he was an enrollee on the Freedman Roll of the Choctaw tribe. Napoleon was the son of Matthew and Mary White. Mary was a former slave owned by a Choctaw man named Henry Fulsome. She was freed at the age of 12 by the Civil War.
