Amber Thompson Meilahn, daughter of George and Nona Dugger Thompson, was a life member of Children of the American Revolution and served as the Oklahoma State President of C.A.R. 1991–92. Amber held several positions on the National Board of C.A.R. and is now a member of DAR and serves as a Senior Leader for C.A.R. Amber's husband, Carl, was also a member of C.A.R. Their children, Katelyn, William and Kristen are all life members of C.A.R. and hold offices on both the local and state level in Texas C.A.R.
