Hugh and Mary Jo Lewis East were the parents of Ruby East Thompson and the grandparents of George Thompson and the great grandparents of Valerie, Cheryl and Amber. Hugh East had a twin brother, Harry, and they were the sons of John and Rebecca Dixson East. Hugh and Mary Jo moved to Wewoka, Oklahoma, from Booneville, Arkansas, before 1930. Hugh was a carpenter, painter and paperhanger. Mary Jo was the daughter of Wm. A.E. and Margaret Penn Lewis.
