Hobart Ragland used a general highway map created by the Oklahoma Department of Highways (currently the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, 2012) with data from 1950-1957. Handwritten notations are made by Ragland showing the sites with numbers that refer to plat maps in the previous 16 volumes.

Administrative Information
The maps are filed by county and contain 12 volumes. Hobart Ragland used a general highway map created by the Oklahoma Department of Highways (currently the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, 2012) with data from 1950-1957. Handwritten notations are made by Ragland showing the sites with numbers that refer to plat maps in the previous 16 volumes.
Folders 9-13 contain photocopies of the same highway map for each county but on a smaller scale without any markings.

December 16, 1954.".

Folder 9. "Some Laws of the Cherokee Nation" Note by Ragland: "These laws were copied from an old law book in the posession of George Fields of Vian, Oklahoma (October, 1955). The book was published at alequah, Cherokee Nation in 1852. It is divided into three parts. The first part pages 1-148 deal with laws in the Cherokee Nation back east up to 1829. The second part pages 150-179 deal with the laws of the Cherokee West or "Old Settlers" from 1824-1834. The third part of the book covers laws passed in the Cherokee Nation in what is now a part of Oklahoma. This third part is in reality a seperate volume in that the pages are numbered from 1-226. Much of the book was gone or torn away because of age.".
