Battle of Honey Springs Reenactments
Reenactor Registration
The Battle of Honey Springs weekend will take place November 8–9, 2025, with an Education Day on Friday, November 7. Honey Springs Battlefield and the Friends of Honey Springs Battlefield are grateful for the generous support from the reenactment community. We hope you have a great time during our event and appreciate the effort and dedication you put into making this event a meaningful and memorable experience for all. We invite reenactors to participate in the events and register online. Each participant must register separately.
Weekend Events
There will be numerous sutlers showcasing and selling various clothing, goods, and provisions. We will also have vendors selling food and drinks. Visitors can enjoy presentations about Civil War-era topics., and the reenactments begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Reenactor Check-In, Parking, and Accommodations
We encourage all reenactors to check in at the registration station as early as possible.
General Rules and Etiquette
Please be courteous to all visitors, artifacts, and wildlife by keeping appropriate noise levels. This historic site is owned by the State of Oklahoma, and tobacco use is prohibited.
Firearm Policy
No reenactor under the age of 16 years is allowed to carry or discharge a firearm at any Oklahoma Historical Society event. All reenactors under the age of 18 years of age must have an adult sponsor participating with them on the field. Artillery Cannon Gun Crew: No one under 16 years of age will be allowed to serve in positions 1-4. Those under 16 are allowed in positions 5-6 with the limber chest.

All reenactors are required to bring a signed copy of the waiver with them to the event.

Camping Accommodations
Water and firewood will be provided for use during the event. Horses will have a designated area with water tanks and hay.
Parking Lot Considerations
Please make sure vehicles are secure and property is concealed or otherwise protected.
Portable Sanitation Units
There will be numerous chemical-based sanitation units throughout the event area for visitor use.
Ground Conditions
Visitors should have sturdy footwear and be prepared for obstacles, including uneven terrain and gravel. Be alert for wet or soggy areas and take your time to avoid tripping; variable terrains make running unsafe.
Weather Considerations
Since much of the event is outdoors, visitors should dress appropriately in case of inclement weather.
