Everett Bagley, Jr.

Command Sergeant Major Everett Bagley, Jr. enlisted into the Oklahoma National Guard during April 1965 and received basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. After basic training he was assigned to Fort Polk, Louisiana and processed into the US Army.

In 1966 he graduated the US Army Airborne Course, Fort Benning, Georgia. The following November he was assigned to the First Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne, 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Later in November he was ordered to Vietnam where he served as a medic in the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment. He was cited for gallantry in action and was wounded. His awards include the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Medical Badge and the Master Parachutist Badge.
